From Pat's son

Hello everyone. My name is Ian. I am Pat's son, and just wanted you all to know that she passed away on April 5, at 5:25 P.M. Losing her is the most challenging thing I have ever had to face, but getting the time that I have with her over the last two years has been fantastic. Her amazing attitude and bravery that she faced the end of her life with was truly inspiring, and allowed us many precious moments which I will always cherish.

I will be doing a final podcast for her at soe point, though I suspect it will be after some time has passed. I will post it to this site after I get the majority of things taken care of that I need to . I will also be posting the audio of her memorial service here.

She was always by far, my favorite person on the planet. She is now, and will always be deeply missed.

Hi Ian,

I emailed you a few months ago asking about the Natural Therapies podcast that I was looking forward to your mum doing as my mum had been given 6-8 months after her long fight.

Well soon after I received after your reply she was then given 6-8 weeks which abruptly turned into a phone call saying that she may not make it through the night.

My beautiful mother passed away Wednesday April 19th at 3:15pm. We miss her dearly and had the funeral service as well as a Hindu ceremonial service for her this Wednesday, 6th May.

I also have been given audio tapes of the service where I read a 10 minute eulogy as well as performed Faure's Pavane on solo flute as reflection as well as some flute in Morning Has Broken....I'm sure she would have loved the service.

Thankyou for continuing to update us and I know that both of our mum's are in better places now...I can empathise with what you were and are going through. I'm hoping for the day it will stop hurting too.

I love you Ibu Manis (this is what I call her in Indonesian which means sweet mother)....

Warmest regards,
Leila.

I still miss your Mom so very much.
This past holiday season was the worst - not being able to see you guys.

Thanks for pointing me to the new .net site - it's nice to be able to hear your Mom's voice and her words.

((hug))
